Iconic K-pop singer G-Dragon will make his television comeback through KBS’s acclaimed music show “Yu Hui-yeol’s Sketchbook.”
G-Dragon is set to join the taping of “Yu Hui-yeol’s Sketchbook” Tuesday afternoon, a day after five tunes of his second album “Coup D’e Tat” stormed music charts, his agency YG Entertainment said in a press release Tuesday.
The show is set to hit airwaves this Friday night at 12:30 a.m. KST, which makes the show the place to unveil the first televised performance of GD’s second album.
This is the young artist’s first appearance on the midnight music show a year after he heated up the stage with his first mini-album “One of a Kind” and only a week later his labelmates and top girl group 2NE1 appeared on the show.
After wrapping up two Seoul encore concerts of his successful second world tour over the weekend, GD also joined taping of SBS’s variety show “Running Man” on Monday, while his next music show appearance will be SBS’s “Inkigayo” this Sunday.
All the new GD songs released as the first part of “Coup D’e Tat” including “Who You?,” “Black,” “Coup D’e Tat,” R.O.D” and ““Niliria” are ranked high on Korean online music charts as of Tuesday at 10 a.m. KST, especially “Who You?” and “Black” competing for No. 1.
