When he was asked about his ideal type, he replied, “I’m more attracted to a woman’s charms more so than their looks. 2NE1′s CL is my ideal type. I even asked Big Bang‘s Daesung to get an autograph from her because we were in a drama together.”

He also confessed, “It’s been a year and a half since I broke up with my last girlfriend, and I don’t have a girlfriend right now. But I do want to be married three years from now.”

YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk did not hold back his praise for singer PSY who has now become a world star, saying, ““Gangnam Style” is not a hit K-Pop song, but rather, it is a major incident that marks a turning point for Korean music.”

PSY’s “Gangnam Style” has currently risen to #4 on the US iTunes chart, and continues to rank high on the iTunes Chart for 15 different countries.

In regards to this, CEO Yang remarked, “The fact that a Korean song sung by a Korean artist who did not release an album in America rose to #4 on the US iTunes and still continues to rise, in addition to the fact that “Gangnam Style” is #1 on the iTunes Charts of countries PSY has never even been to, is a phenomenon that cannot be explained with words.”

“This is the greatest success reaped on an overseas stage in the history of Korean music, and I think it may be a record that will be hard to break for the time being,” Papa YG continued. “Simply put, I am astonished beyond belief (laughs).”

However, it’s only now that “Gangnam Style” will really begin to shock the world. This is because PSY has very simply and effortlessly accomplished great feats that no Korean artist before him has been able to, during the brief trips to America he managed to take in between handling his work in Korea.

“The amazing thing is that this is only the beginning of PSY’s attack on the US market,” YG continued. “As soon as “Gangnam Style” reached 100 million views on YouTube, the numbers began to increase even more rapidly. This can be seen as proof that PSY’s influence has spread not only throughout Korea and Asia, but all across the world as well.”

YG displayed confidence as he added, “A reality that seems more like a dream than a dream itself will unfold before PSY’s eyes. No goal seems impossible at this point, whether it be #1 on the US iTunes or breaking the Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart.”

The truth is, PSY being able to take the world by storm without officially debuting in the States is all thanks to Papa YG who for years used Social Networking Services to thoroughly prepare for an overseas attack. Different from other agencies who focused on television music programs and variety show appearances, YG had chosen to largely reduce the number of television appearances for his artists.

Instead, YG created an independent YouTube channel and launched a YG Blog so that anyone across the world could very easily get their hands on the songs and MVs of the YG Entertainment artists.

Even during an interview with OSEN that took place long before PSY’s international success, CEO Yang had remarked, “The reason why we spend a large amount of money on a single MV and film MVs for not only the title track but also a number of other subtracks is because we would like fans and anyone else to be able to enjoy YG content.”

The business strategy of Yang Hyun Suk who only focuses on content and easily adjusts to new media environments is drawing major attention from the public who are curious to know how much further he can raise the bar for K-Pop in the global market.

Having released his new album, ‘One of a Kind‘, G-Dragon is getting ready for promotions with his first comeback stage being this week’s ‘Inkigayo’. As reported earlier, fellow Big Bang member Taeyang will be joining him on stage and ahead of the broadcast of their upcoming performance, the two have taken to Twitter to tease fans with mysterious photos!

Taeyang has once again brought out his inner ‘Mr. Teydaddy’ as he posted the picture above showcasing yet another bear head, which he seems to be fond of collecting as demonstrated by his past photos. In addition to the photo, he tweeted, “At inkigayo! Let’s rock!!!”

G-Dragon also joined in tweeting the photo of himself in the matching bear outfit to accompany the bear head shown in Taeyang’s photo, while writing, “After… passed out”.

Judging by his previous tweet that states, “An event to greet fans in commemoration of the first broadcast #bear with many skills”, it seems the two may have decided to showcase their goofy nature in front of their fans at the recording through the use of the bear costume.

Psy has once again set another record as he has become the first Korean artist ever to rank #1 on the U.S. iTunes Chart!

It was already an amazing feat when the artist had broken into the top 100 and then the top 10 list on iTunes with a Korean song that was originally not even aimed at the international market, but it seems the “Gangnam Style” craze is stronger than ever for he now proudly stands at the top of the U.S. iTunes Chart.

In addition, he is still ranked #1 on the U.S. iTunes music video chart, and also maintains his position at #1 and other top spots on the iTunes charts for various countries including Canada, Denmark, Norway, New Zealand, and more.

Big Bang fans are suspicious of Japanese tabloid magazine Friday‘s reports about Seungri being involved in a sex scandal.

On September 13th, Friday reported an article about Seungri having sexual relations with a female, and published a few photos of a male they claim to be Seungri, lying in bed.The article also included a testimony from the woman allegedly involved, but YG has yet to release an official statement on the scandal, causing fans to step forward in an attempt to find out the truth.

Immediately, a group of fans released ‘proof’ that the photos were manipulated. They argued that there were a few areas that looked unnatural when it came to photos of his face and back, and that the published photos were photoshopped with a photo of a man who looked very similar to Seungri.

The fans continued to argue that the angles of his face and neck look unnatural, while the skin color of his face and body look different as well. Some netizens responded to the ‘proof’, saying, “That’s what I thought“, “Of course they are photoshopped“, and more.

But a few number of netizens believe that the man in the photos really is Seungri, especially after YG has failed to step up and deny the reports. “It maybe a tabloid magazine, but they’re not a media outlet that would manipulate photos“, they said, in addition to “The proof isn’t enough to say that it was photoshopped,” and more.

Big Bang‘s G-Dragon and 2AM‘s Jo Kwon recently held a bit of an awkward conversation on Twitter.

The conversation began when G-Dragon tweeted to his followers just minutes before the release of his EP ‘One of a Kind‘, writing, “Come here!!! GD countdown live!! 1 minute left.”

After coming across G-Dragon’s post, Jo Kwon congratulated the singer on his new album by tweeting, “Hello As expected, your music and style in this album are amazing ^^ [Good luck] on your promotions.”

G-Dragon tweeted back, “Thank you Mr. Kwon! This is awkward. Fighting…lol.”

Jo Kwon: “Yes!! This is a bit…awkward… Haha. I listened to your album before going to sleep last night. It’s indeed the best, hyung! Let’s become closer~ lol.”

G-Dragon: “Yes. Thanks, and when I get the chance, I’ll give you a CD. Let’s get together~!”

The conversation came to an end with Jo Kwon, saying, “Yes~!! I’ll also bring my CD. Keke. Let’s see each other then.”

Surrounded by 13,000 fans, 2NE1 successfully concluded its New Evolution concerts in Yokohama.

The concerts were held on September 11 and 12 at the Yokohama Arena, where the members performed a total of 23 songs, along with their hit songs I Am the Best and I Love You.

On September 13, Sandara Park posted on her me2day, “Back at the Yokohama Arena after last year’s tour! Even though it was a week day, the Blackjacks completely filled in the arena! ^.^ With their amazing energy, they made us excited by enjoying the concert, and I think the DVD will come out awesome as well! The New Evolution global tour started on July 28 in Seoul, Korea and was followed up by performances in New Jersey and New York. 2NE1 went on to perform in Osaka, Nagoya, and Yokohoma.

The group will head to Saitama for its concert on September 29 and 30.
